Who We Are

 
CPD Security & Investigations was started in 1997 by Paul Jurcisin upon his retirement from the Cleveland Police Department.  He had gained his experience in security in both the private and corporate arenas, and while working within various units in the police department– vice, traffic and juvenile.

Today, CPD Security is led by Lisa Jurcisin Schill, a graduate of Miami University and daughter of retired Cleveland police officer, Paul Jurcisin. As the daughter of a police officer, Lisa has been around law enforcement all of her life, and she has made many connections within the community. Lisa Schill started working for CPD in 2009, learning the family business through her father and meeting new business contacts while handling bidding, marketing and day to day operations.   Lisa obtained her certification for Flagger Instruction and Traffic Control Supervisor from ATSSA in 2010 and took over the family business in 2013.   CPD obtained its WBE certification from WBENC (Women’s Business Enterprise Council) and its FBE certification from the City of Cleveland. We hold a Class A license with the Department of Homeland Security through PISGS (Private Investigator Security Guard Services.)

What We Do

 
CPD provides security and traffic control (flaggers) to companies requiring these services…for events, for construction, or any reason! We can schedule off-duty Cleveland police officers. Additionally, we offer private investigation services, and we are licensed and bonded for both armed and unarmed guards.

CPD has worked on various traffic and security projects within the City of Cleveland, including the     Cleveland Municipal Browns Stadium.  Currently, a large portion of CPD’s traffic control works is with utility companies as they perform required work in street intersections to maintain their safety, utilizing off-duty Cleveland police officers as well as flaggers. CPD also provides security for a number of hotels in downtown Cleveland.

CPD can provide any traffic signage or equipment needed– from arrow boards, delineators and traffic cones to pavement markings for parking lots.
